Truenorth Relocates to Advanced Manufacturing Belt, Signalling Further Commitment to Industry

Truenorth, a specialist marketing consultancy for the North East engineering and manufacturing industry, has moved registered offices to Sunderland. Now based within the Washington Business Centre, located in the heart of the region's advanced manufacturing belt, this relocation signifies a strategic move aimed at further supporting sector growth.

The Washington Business Centre, owned and operated by Sunderland City Council, is home to esteemed organisations such as the North East Automotive Alliance, Turnmill Engineering and Curtis Instruments, and is also near industry heavyweights such as Nissan, Turntide Technologies, Vantec and Unipres. Catering to Sunderland’s most ambitious growing businesses, the Centre is situated just a few miles from the city centre, and offers a range of serviced office spaces, virtual tenancies, meeting rooms and workshops.

Sunderland City Council has played a key role in facilitating Truenorth’s relocation, emphasising its commitment to attracting new businesses to the region, aligning with their City Plan.

Peter McIntrye, Executive Director of City Development at Sunderland City Council, commented, "We’re delighted to have supported Truenorth and we extend a warm welcome as they join us in Sunderland. Their move not only underscores our city's reputation as a leading location for engineering and advanced manufacturing excellence but also reaffirms our commitment to nurturing innovation and growth within these sectors.”

Rachel Skeoch, Director at Truenorth, commented, “We're thrilled to be based in Sunderland, and the support from Sunderland City Council has been nothing short of exceptional. This relocation highlights our dedication to serving our core industries, and being nearer to some of our clients and partners enables us to be even closer to exciting developments.”

By anchoring itself within Sunderland's thriving manufacturing community, the move marks a significant milestone in Truenorth’s journey, further helping to promote regional industry on a national scale.
