On Thursday 19th October, Truenorth were guests at Make UK's Regional Dinner for the North East Yorkshire and Humberside.
An opportunity to recognise and celebrate regional manufacturers, the event featured speeches from key figures in the manufacturing and engineering sector. Ben Fletcher, the Chief Operating Officer of Make UK, discussed the industry's strengths and its ambitious future goals. He emphasised the growing role that the government should play in supporting our vital sector.
Maria Laine, the UK President at Boeing, also addressed the audience and shed light on why Boeing, the American aerospace giant, chose the north to establish its only European factory. She stressed the significance of a robust supply chain and the importance of inspiring the next generation of engineers.
